Two-tone pill, lines straight up, and the search highlighter.
The two-tone pill is now fully pill-shaped with a clean rounded orange cap and no dot inside. The connector lines run straight up onto a small dot at each value. And here, at last, is the redesigned search highlighter, in three takes. Two versions of the pill up top, then the search options. No em dashes.
The pill and the lines
Two versions of the two-tone pill. The cap can carry a small white icon, or stay a clean block. The lines rise straight up to the values. There is also a stacked take where the pills sit in a column and the line runs up behind them.
Cap with icon
A small white pin, box or clock in the orange cap.

Clean cap
Just the orange cap, nothing inside. The most minimal.
Stacked, line behind
Pills in a column, one line running straight up behind them.
The search highlighter
Three ways to make it obvious where you are typing, from most minimal to most explicit.

Focus ring
A soft orange glow around the field. Quiet and clean.

Underline
An orange underline and caret under the word. The lightest touch.

Two-tone chip
The query in a two-tone pill, matching the result pills. The most consistent.
Notes
Still frames so the design reads clearly. Pick a pill (A, B or C) and a search highlighter (1, 2 or 3) and I will build the animated version and wire it into the five-screen flow.
