Avero: GTM Capability Graph
Most go-to-market advice arrives as a list of channels. A list hides the thing that decides whether a channel works: what has to exist underneath it. This is the same material drawn as a directed graph, so a weak channel can be traced down to the signal, data or system it is actually short of.
- The graph, and a way to score itcurrentThe same map, now answerable. Every node takes five reads: how much it matters to this company (0–3), and three things measured twice — today and target — on named 0–4 ladders: does it work, how manual is it, and does it hold at volume. The gap between today and target is the finding, and priority is computed from it rather than argued. “Don’t know” is a real answer here, kept apart from not-yet-asked, because not being able to see your own current state is itself the thing to fix. The map wears all of it: a node fills like a tank to what it scores today, with the waterline at what it should be, and what the company says doesn’t matter fades out of the picture. 378 nodes — the KPI branch is parked while its taxonomy is reviewed, and Sales Execution & Enablement is now drawn out. - The graph explorer423 nodes and 319 cross-tree edges in one canvas. Five ways to read it: every node at once, the eleven channels and what each one needs, the shared foundations that feed all of them, the KPIs a capability moves, and one node with its upstream and downstream traced out to three hops. A node is drawn larger when more capabilities feed into it, so the load-bearing pieces are visible before you read a single label. General open ←
Nothing matches that.
An edge means one capability feeds another, not that the two are related. Inside a family the edge is implied: every child contributes to its parent, so it is derived rather than stored. The stored edges are all cross-tree — 188 of them in v2, 319 in v1, which still carries the KPI branch — and every one of them carries a written reason you can read on the node.
The graph is the reusable half of the model. Scoring a company against it is the other half, and v2 is where that half starts. Nothing you score is sent anywhere: the reads stay in your own browser, so this page still holds no client data of ours and no saved client scores. How the scoring works, end to end, is written up here.
