Amit chose A1 icon-family: the safety-orange fox that shares its colour language with the shipped app icons, so mascot and icon read as one brand. This round turns the single winning drawing into a working character: fourteen poses, built from one verbatim character spec, covering the commission brief's original five-pose program plus the peeks and every UI state the identity system asks for.

The peeks, now drawn for real

v1 and v2 repositioned a horizontal peek to fake the side entrance. This round drew it properly: a true side-peek around a vertical edge, and the draped lazy fox from the original brief, lying along the top of an element with his tail hanging off.

How he enters

Side is the onboarding entrance from the original ask. Draped is the lazy fox himself, best over a section header or the top of a card. Corner seats the resting pose beside content, for calmer screens.

Fourteen poses, one spec

The commission brief's five core poses, the pre-coffee bonus, both peeks, and the UI states. Transparent-background cutouts of all fourteen ship in the repo under assets/cut3/, ready to drop into any surface.

Honest notes

Drift, and what production needs

Fourteen independent generations of one spec hold together well, not perfectly. Worth knowing before these go near production:

A3-precoffee and A3-snap go bipedal. The props pulled the model onto two legs, more anthropomorphic than the seated poses. It reads fine in isolation; a consistency pass should decide whether standing is allowed in the character's grammar.
A3-tailq is off-model. The question-mark tail is exactly right and ties beautifully to the H8e app icon, but the face drifted smaller and pointier. Worth a re-render locked to the face spec.
Outline weight varies, heaviest on A3-head. Vectorization is where that gets normalized, not regeneration.
These are raster explorations. Production assets should go through the icon pipeline's finishing step: vectorize the keepers (Recraft), lock exact #FF6A00/#FFFFFF/#241B14, export SVG.

Decisions this round settles. The two-orange question resolves in favour of one orange: the fox wears the icon's safety orange, and Fox Russet retires from the character. The brand docs' New Yorker directive is now formally superseded for the mascot; the three docs carry dated amendment notes pointing here rather than full rewrites.
