Fluid fire
The Build, Buy and Back marks on asfiro.com are geometric: a pair of crossing arcs, a set of concentric rings. They are fine and they are anonymous. Amit asked for fluid fire instead. These are five different answers to what that means, not five drafts of one answer.
What is there now
Build, Buy, Back as they ship today. Mirrored arcs, concentric rings, a dish. Competent, geometric, and they could belong to any company.
One flame
A closed flame, and the verb changes how it is rooted. Build is one flame from one point. Buy is one flame that has already split in two, sharing a base. Back is a flame someone else lit, with a hand around it.
Updraft
Fire as the air it moves, not as a shape. Build sends three lines up from one root. Buy braids two separate columns into one. Back lifts a column that started somewhere it did not choose.
Ribbon
A band of fire, folded. Two edges keep their distance while the band twists, so it reads as poured rather than burned. Build rises and opens. Buy closes the band into a loop that is held. Back arcs over something it is deliberately not touching.
Ember
A solid point of heat, and the fire read off it. The only one of the five with mass, which is why it holds at 22px where an outline closes up. Build sets the ember down. Buy takes a share of one already lit. Back puts a ring around it and stands back.
Heat
The distortion above a fire, not the fire. Horizontal where every other option is vertical, which is exactly what stops it looking like a generic flame logo. Build lays the first line down. Buy joins two fields that were separate. Back holds one steady from underneath.
Each option is one rule evaluated three times, which is why the
three marks in a set sit together instead of looking like three drawings that share a
colour. They are drawn at the size they ship, 22px, directly under each large version,
because that is where most of these decisions are actually made.
Pick a number and I will put it on the site. If one is close but wrong in a detail, say
which detail: they are generated, so a change is a parameter, not a redraw.
