# noonfox

> noonfox is an iPhone app that catalogs every belonging in your home using AI vision. Snap a photo, the AI identifies the item and where it's stored, and you find it later by searching the way you naturally remember it ("blue mug", "kid's snow boots", "that drill the contractor used"). Free on the App Store. Made for iPhone. No hardware required. Family sharing built in.

## What it does, in one sentence

noonfox replaces the cognitive cost of remembering where your stuff is with a one-second photo and an instant search.

## Core capabilities

- **Vision AI recognition** — every snap is parsed end-to-end: brand, color, size, model number, expiration dates, even handwritten labels and labels in non-English languages (Hebrew, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, etc.) are read automatically.
- **Auto-tagging** — items are organized into rooms, containers (boxes, bins, drawers), and categories without manual tagging. Hierarchies (house → garage → workbench → red bin → top tray) emerge from the photos themselves.
- **Smart search** — natural-language search that finds items by remembered description, not exact name. "Blue mug" finds the unnamed ceramic mug on the kitchen shelf. "That drill" finds the DeWalt 20V in the workbench drawer.
- **Sub-second capture** — 300 ms cold start to camera, 50 ms shutter feedback, 500 ms capture to durable save. Faster than thinking.
- **Offline-first** — captures work fully offline; AI processing and sync happen silently in the background once back online.
- **Family sharing** — share full inventory or scoped views (per room / container / tag) with household members. View-only or full-edit.
- **Loan tracking** — tag any item as loaned with a borrower name and due date; receive a reminder when overdue.

- **Not inventory SaaS (Sortly, Stuffanizer, MyStuff2).** Designed for households, not warehouses. No SKUs, no PO numbers, no stock-level workflows.
- **Not a note-taker (Notion, Evernote).** Zero data entry. The AI does the cataloging.
- **Not Apple Find My.** Find My tracks people and Apple devices. noonfox catalogs belongings.
- **Not a decluttering coach.** Doesn't tell you to own less. Makes what you own findable.

- **Sync model:** local-first with background sync; soft deletes; recency-weighted conflict resolution
- **Privacy:** end-to-end encrypted in transit; user data stored on user's Supabase project; never sold, never used for model training without opt-in
- **Pricing:** free for the basics. Premium tier coming for power users (larger libraries, priority AI, additional export formats).
